Anastasia Dutova, a French-Russian photographer born in St. Petersburg in 1983, began her photographic journey in 2003 by studying fashion photography.
Since then, she has been passionate about exploring different styles and techniques.
After graduating with a degree in fashion design and photography from a Moscow university, she moved to Geneva in 2010, where she continued to hone her craft by participating in local projects and competitions.
Inspired by the complex beauty of the human experience, she mixes elements of magical realism with contemporary portraiture. Her work often incorporates multiple exposures, natural and artificial light, and bold color palettes.
By highlighting the hidden beauty of everyday life, she invites viewers to see the world differently.
For me, photography is a means of communication. I'm not very good at expressing my thoughts through words; I find visualization more intuitive. I enjoy feeling a connection with the subject I'm photographing, and when something magical happens during the shoot—a kind of magic that is hard to replicate in everyday life. That's why I often use multiple exposures, long exposures, and various filters.
Through my work, I try to speak about the connection between humans and nature, spiritual beauty, personal growth, the universe, and the harmony of all things. I would really like to bring a little more beauty and magic into this world through my art, and for me beauty is closely connected with spirituality and the inner world of a person.
